Advancing hydrogen research across borders

The Barcelona Supercomputing Center has signed a collaboration agreement with Hong Kong Baptist University to advance research in hydrogen technologies and sustainable energy — a partnership that will be developed through the work of BSC’s Propulsion Technologies Group.

The agreement was formalised during the visit of Tobby Fu, Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at HKBU, to BSC’s facilities. It aims to foster joint research and technology transfer initiatives in the context of SEAM@InnoHK, the new research cluster launched by the Hong Kong SAR government, focusing on sustainability, energy, advanced manufacturing, and materials.

Together, BSC and HKBU are laying the groundwork for innovation in clean energy and building bridges between Europe and Asia to tackle global challenges in decarbonisation.
